Bread & Flowers: Table Styling Workshop

Design a stunning table centrepiece with decorative bread and seasonal flowers in this creative hands-on workshop.

Another of our fantastic supporters, Layers Bakery, is hosting a hands-on table-styling workshop on Friday 19th June at their bakery on City Island (London E14) from 5.30 - 8pm.

In partnership with Strength & Stem, this unique workshop combines baking, floristry, and meaningful community impact. You’ll learn how to shape and style decorative bread centrepieces while exploring presentation techniques that elevate any table setting. Alongside this, floristry specialists will guide you in creating your own seasonal bouquet to complement your edible designs. More than a styling class, this workshop celebrates gathering, creativity, and the power of craft to connect and empower.

    As a charity, we rely on fundraising to keep our work going, and by supporting us with a donation, you help us continue to provide our programmes to support female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.

    As an example of what your support can provide:

    - £10 - Travel expenses for a survivor to attend a workshop

    - £20 - One hour of professional mentorship for a survivor

    - £55 - A bucket of flowers for a survivor to work with on our floristry training course

    - £150 - A survivor's travel and expenses for 6 weeks of work experience

    Did you know that Strength & Stem runs workshops? These are ideal for a team away day, a birthday or get together with friends. We offer workshops on flower crowns, hand-tied bouquets, seasonal wreaths and vase arrangements, or we can adapt something special just for you.

    Our workshops are part of our social enterprise arm and our profits are put back into the charity.
