Volunteer Mentor
Summary
We aim to achieve our vision by offering tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. Our evidence-based, holistic programme is designed to help prepare survivors for future security, develop their agency, and increase their sense of wellbeing and community. The mentoring programme is an essential part of achieving these outcomes.
Volunteer mentors support programme participants as they work towards their future security (this could be employment, volunteering, or courses) and self-development goals. Mentoring will take place over a period of six months, following the mentee’s successful completion of the Strength & Stem vocational floristry and prevocational skills training sessions.
