Our Impact

2025 was an important and exciting year for Strength & Stem.

The world that Strength & Stem imagines is one where women survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking are restored from their trauma, empowered for the future and sustain a good quality of life through the healing power of floristry.

The need for this trauma-informed approach to women’s recovery is urgent when modern slavery appears to be rising. In 2025, the Home Office reported the highest number of suspected cases of modern slavery, trafficking and exploitation with 23,411 people referred under the National Referral Mechanism.

Strength & Stem offers women survivors a flower-filled road towards a life of dignity and worth. In 2025, we helped 88 women through our programme of training, work experience and volunteer mentoring, and our growing alumni network.

The women we work with inspire us. We are proud to walk alongside you as you pursue your vision for a brighter future. One of our participants summed it up beautifully: ‘Going to Strength & Stem training made me want more from my life.’
